三州华美化學會2012年年會:化学创新和再创造的新示范

三州华美化學會將於6月16日(週六)在罗格斯大學的布什中心(Busch Campus Center of Rutgers University, Piscataway,NJ)主办题为“化学创新和再创造的新示范”的2012年年會。

2012年會有幸邀請到多位化學, 医药,能源和新州劳工部等不同領域中重量級的演講人。美國化學學會主席Bassam Shakhashiri 博士將以录像的形式主講“无国界的科学创造和创新”。美國化學學會(American Chemical Society)是全球最大的科技協會。它擁有超過16萬名會員,並且是世界上最有權威的科技信息來源之一. 来自陶氏化学Dow Wolff Cellulosics部门的研发总监Bob Maughon 将作题为“陶氏化学是如何通过创新应对卫生及营养领域的全球挑战。我们还邀請到Merck分析部门的副总裁Mark VanArendonk博士,化妆品公司Relvon 的研发副总裁Sue Feng博士,Voltaix的首席技术官(CTO) Matthew D Stephens,药物巨人Sanofi 的副总裁 James Boyd博士,就化学,药物开发和能源等领域的创新及怎样成功挑战职场不断的变化作主题发言。中国知名CRO, ChemPartner, 的王玉光博士将专程从中国来到年会與大家分享中国CRO领域的挑战。

2012 Annual Symposium on June 16 at Rutgers University

The Tri-State Chinese American Chemical Society (CACS) 2012 Annual Symposium will be held on Saturday, June 16, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, at Busch Campus Center, Rutgers University, Piscataway, NJ (Address: 604 Bartholomew Rd, Piscataway, NJ 08854). The symposium is co-sponsored by the Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Rutgers University. Registration (www.tristatecacs.org) is free and open to all professionals and students in chemistry and related fields. Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be provided to all symposium participants.

The theme for this year’s symposium is “A New Paradigm for Innovation and Reinvention in Chemistry”. We are living in a world that is changing rapidly. For a business to survive and thrive, it must constantly innovate and reinvent itself. Chemical and pharmaceutical businesses are no exceptions. Prominent speakers at the upcoming CACS Annual Symposium will share their wisdom and perspectives on the challenges and opportunities we chemists face today. Confirmed speakers for the symposium include:
