About Us

Founded in 1981, the Chinese American Chemical Society (CACS) is a nonprofit, professional organization with no political and regional affiliation. Membership is open to professionals and students in chemistry, chemical engineering, and related fields, and to individuals and corporations supporting the objectives of CACS. Currently, CACS has five regional chapters in North America.

CACS is the only Chinese professional organization that is officially recognized by ACS and AICheE.

ACS/CACS Collaboration

The American Chemical Society (ACS) and the Chinese American Chemical Society (CACS) signed a three year Chemistry Enterprise Partnership (CEP) in 2022. The alliance agreement recognizes the importance of cooperation between the ACS and the Chinese-American chemical communities in scientific, educational, and public outreach projects. The agreement will be characterized by the shared commitment to cooperation in service to chemical scientists, engineers, students, educators and professionals.
